New Studio at Historic Whiting Mills, Winsted

I've relocated my painting studio to the historic, beautiful Whiting Mills in northwest Connecticut. This is a vibrant creative community with a lot of diverse arts practioners and small business owners. There are a variety of Open Studio events hosted at Whiting Mills. Please check the website to learn more. I will also announce events here.

Mini Masterpiece shown at New Britain Museum of American Art gala auction
When the New Britain Museum of American Art asks for a contribution, the answer is YES! I'm always thrilled to be a part of the museum's fundraising efforts. I contributed a "mini masterpiece" to their gala auction, and word on the street is that it sold to a lucky donor. I'm happy that my tiny paintings have made their mark. As a practioner, I will always contribute artwork to causes that I believe in.

Selected as Plein Air Artist, Pawling, NY

Hey all, I'm trying something new this Saturday, 6/29. I've been selected as a plein air artist for an art event and live auction in Dutchess County, NY. I'll spend the day painting outdoors in the beautiful landscape surrounding Pawling, NY, alongside 28 other plein air artists. 2 of my fresh (literally still wet) paintings will be auctioned off that evening at an event at 6 pm. All proceeds benefit the Oblong Land Conservancy. Come on out.

Selected as Elizabeth L. Mahaffey Fellow, State of Connecticut

So happy to announce that I was selected by my home State of Connecticut as a 2024 Elizabeth L. Mahaffey Arts Administrator Fellow. This fellowship provides art enrichment and professional development for mid-career art administrators. With the fellowship, I will partipicate in a week-long Art Education seminar taking place this summer within 3 beloved art institutions in New York City - the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum and Museum of Modern Art. I'll spend the week learning with and from other art educators across the US as we find ways to connect contemporary art to our teaching practices and careers in the arts. See you in NYC!
